What are the top/most widely used/sought after programming languages now?

Following on from my previous question, what is it better to learn for job prospects in the technology field.





Doing a Computing degree, but thinking of learning additional languages such as php, mysql, asp.net, C++ and other programming languages... what are the top and most popular ones now?

What are the top/most widely used/sought after programming languages now?
Being that I just completed my degrees and am working in the field I would say:





.NET anything (VB, C#, ASP)


Java is still big


Oracle, SQL Server


For web development work: PHP, MySQL work good

and go for java(complete) and J2ee


Compnies also uses Of languages like Phython...like Google
