Which programming language should i learn?

i have just completed my TYBsc IT exam, now which programming language course should i do tht will increase job prospects.I know c,c++,SQL,C# %26amp; core java .pls tell duration of course.

Which programming language should i learn?
Programming languages depend on the type of the job. e.g. if you want to get into web programming...creating web applications... then you should know ASP.net along with tools like Adobe dreamweaver etc.. so it depends on the job.

so i would recommend you do a little job survey..find out what interests you and improve your computer skills according the requirements for that job.

For a newbie, a good rule of thumb would be to have experience with 1 or 2 database programs like mysql etc along with a variety of tool like a webdevelopment tool, tools for programming in ur prefered language, softwares like microsoft office... etc...

as for the courses...if you are a good programmer you can learn all these tool on your own using their tutorials. same goes for languages like ASP.net etc.

So first search which domain you want to tap into...and what interests you.
Reply:they make us learn java because it can work in almost all operating systems (linux, mac, windows, etc.) so yeah, i would prefer Java
Reply:a .NET language can be nice to learn because its usage can be extended to development of more than one type of an application. For example using C# you can develop web, windows, in addition to libraries.
Reply:What sort of jobs do you want to do at the end of your courses? If you want to do web programming then Java, Javscript, PHP. Realtime programming then Fortran 90, C++. Database programming - VB.net, C#.net, PHP, SQL. Decide on what you want to do with your programming skills and adjust your aims accordingly.
Reply:PHP is best for in this Real World
Reply:Java
Reply:??? Your choice!!!
Reply:vb.net, visual studio platforms... ;)
