I want to do computer games programming in C++?
I think you are better off getting through that book before going into games. Games are very DIFFICULT to write and you need to be a good C++ programmer before you can even attempt to write a game. Good OOP skills that cover Classes, Methods are esentail as well as a good understanding data structures such as Arrays and linked lists and pointer notation are a must when constructing games.
Hence why you need to understand how to code. If you have any questions you can email me at siu02rk@hotmail.com and I will see if I can help you with them.
Reply:Although not focused specifically on C++, gamedev.net is an awesome site for game programming info.
Also, gameinstitute.com...but you have to pay for courses....
Reply:Try the url below.
Really just Google c++ games programming.
Good luck
Reply:You really need to learn from making some regular C++ programs first, before you start. Binary application development is a hard path to follow - I'm not going to lie to you here - which many start down and few finish.
Have perseverance! Remember: It's very hard, but you're smart.
Reply:you wont want to start in c++ start with visual basic get acquired with all the language and how it works, maybe then move up to making simple games in flash and so on, top of the line games for any platform are made by teams of very talented people doing individual jobs like coding, mapping, textures, concept artists and so on.. good luck and stick with it if you really want it that bad.
